corporation with good health management

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Japan Health Conference jointly designed a system to recognize corporations, including large companies and small and medium-sized enterprises, that practice particularly excellent health management, based on initiatives tailored to regional health issues and health promotion initiatives promoted by the Japan Health Conference. We have been recognized as a “Health Management Excellence Corporation” for three consecutive years.

At IoT-EX, we are working to enhance employee satisfaction through ongoing efforts to realize our corporate philosophy, “The IoT-EX Way.”

1. appointment of an industrial physician

The legal requirement for appointing an occupational physician is that a company must have 50 or more employees at all times, but at IoT-EX, we have appointed one even though we have fewer than 30 employees. The occupational physician supports the health of our employees by confirming and providing feedback on health checkup results, interviewing employees who have been identified as having high stress levels through stress checks, and serving as a daily consultation desk.

2. Conducting stress checks

The legal requirement for conducting stress checks is that a company must have 50 or more employees at all times, but at IoT-EX, we conduct stress checks even when we have fewer than 30 employees. By conducting stress checks regularly, we make it easier for employees to understand their own stress levels. In addition, although the number of employees is small, we encourage employees who are determined to be under high stress to consult with an occupational physician and provide support to improve their situation.

3. Thorough implementation of regular health checkups

We have implemented the following systems and initiatives to make it easier for employees to undergo health checkups.

  • Treating health checkups as work
  • The human resources department keeps track of each employee’s medical examination status and individually encourages employees who have not yet undergone an examination to do so.
  • Provide reservation support for foreign employees who have difficulty making reservations on their own.

As a result, we have maintained a high consultation rate (over 95% every year since fiscal 2019).

4. Support after regular health checkups

If you are required to undergo a re-examination or detailed examination during a regular health checkup,

  • Treating re-examinations and detailed examinations as work
  • The company will cover the cost of the examination.
  • The Human Resources Department provides support for taking the examination.

This makes it easier to undergo re-examinations and detailed examinations.

5. Support for regular health checkup expenses for spouses (dependents)

We have a system in place whereby the company covers the cost of regular health checkups for spouses (limited to dependent family members) who are enrolled in the same health insurance association as the employee.

6. Recommendations for daily exercise

We encourage walking as a way to make exercise a part of your daily routine without overdoing it. We tally up how many steps all our employees take each week and give rewards to those who hit their step goals.
